Craig Farrow | Consultant Brentnalls SA

 

Having commenced his career in 1987, Craig attained his Bachelor of Economics Degree in 1992 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994. His particular areas of expertise are providing business advisory services to small to medium enterprises including involvement on a number of advisory boards across the agribusiness, technology and manufacturing sectors, together with succession planning and private wealth creation and preservation services. He is an experienced professional company director.

Craig is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CAANZ), Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and Australian Institute of Management (AIM), whilst also a certified practicing manager and holds a Diploma of Financial Services.

A founding Partner of Brentnalls SA, Craig is now Chairman/Partner. He also served as Chairman of the Brentnalls National Affiliation for 4 years.

Having been chairman of M2 since 2006 and there at the foundation of M2 in 1999, Craig was instrumental in the merger between Vocus Communications and M2 Group Ltd in 2016 and was Deputy Chairman of Vocus Communications until February 2018.

In 1999 he was awarded the Institute's National President's Award for Service to the Institute and the profession. Craig has also been a taxation spokesperson for the Institute and prepared many media releases and commentaries on small business, taxation & GST matters.

Craig is Chairman of Australian Independent Rural Retailers (a national rural merchandise wholesaler) Centre State Exports (Grain marketer/trader) and GM Hotels Group (Hotel Industry). Craig has had significant involvement in the not for profit sector with a focus on disability and health. He is the current chair of Doctors Health SA Ltd and a director of Country & Outback Health.

After 12 years as Managing Partner and almost 20 years as Chairman and with confidence in the next generation, Craig has developed over time. Craig feels like the time is right to step away from the firm leadership, rebalance and be able to spend more time on his client advisory and director roles and importantly family. Craig will be taking on a Consultancy role from July 2020 where he can continue to develop the relationships with clients and associates, and he looks forward to seeing those continue to evolve with the firm going forward.
