Sponsorship | The Penola Royal Cattle Show

Brentnalls SA is a proud sponsor of The Penola Royal Cattle Show, held on November 2, 2024. It is the opportunity to showcase the finest cattle in the south-east.

Matthew Merrett, Principal, said "Brentnalls SA was privileged to sponsor the Penola Show cattle event recently. A number of showing classes were supported with some excellent cattle on display, culminating in the Brentnalls SA Supreme Exhibit being awarded to Woonallee Simmentals for their immaculate cow & calf unit.

Congratulations to all of the competitors for what was a high-caliber showing, particularly noting this show was held towards the end of the showing season.

I was privileged to view the competition up close and personal, learning about the judging techniques of both animals and handlers. I quickly became aware that the time, effort, and dedication that go into preparing the animals and perfecting the handling skills all come down to passion. A passion for cattle, agriculture, and farming in general could be seen and felt around the cattle showing arena on the day, but what truly blew me away was the immense feeling of support and community on display. Cattle don’t necessarily behave all of the time, but whenever a handler needed some support or a second pair of hands, a fellow handler or supporter was quick to step in and assist or provide support and guidance.

The passion and community spirit displayed are exactly why Brentnalls SA were excited to support this event. We congratulate the organisers and look forward to being involved in the years to come."
