Self Managed Superannuation Funds
Brentnalls SA has a Self Managed Super Fund Division that specialises in advisory, administration and support services for clients that wish to operate their own Self Managed Super Funds, that are either in accumulation or pension phase.
Our services include:
Year-Round Accounting
- Preparation of annual statutory financial accounts
- Preparation and lodgement of annual taxation return
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS returns (if required)
- Year round processing of funds utilising Banklink program
- Preparation of quarterly reports for clients on Banklink or forwarding information on a regular basis
- Pro-active assistance in optimising tax outcome for CGT
- events such as the disposal of business property and shares
- Pro-active assistance in optimising tax components when benefits are paid or restructured
- Retention of all required records in digital and hard copy formats for the statutory period
Compliance
- Continual advice on all pension obligations
- Provision of statutory documentation preparation services to support all fund transactions and changes to fund structure membership, investment strategy
- Provision of compliance advice in relation to non-standard assets and notification of the need for revaluation
Administration
- Maintaining individual member records including details of contributions, allocation of earnings and benefit payments
- Regular reconciliations of transactions during the course of the year
- Maintaining individual member records including member components and preservation components
- Maintaining multiple pension accounts, including defined benefit pensions
- Preparation of PAYG payment summaries for pensions (as applicable)
- Arranging tax payments and other associated fund invoices, including issuing reminders for pension and rental payments outstanding prior to 30 June
- Continual SIS compliance review (eg trust deed, investment strategy, death benefit nominations, asset title, etc)
- Provision of statutory documentation preparation services to support all fund transactions and changes to fund structure, membership, investment strategy
- Monitoring of non-standard assets to advise of the need for revaluation
- Notification of important changes to statutory requirements for Self Managed Super Fund trustees
