Karen Nyberg







Karen commenced her career with Brentnalls SA in 1989 as a Junior Accountant. She achieved her Bachelor of Accountancy in 1994 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996. She became an Associate of the firm 1 January 2000 and went on to become a Partner on 1 July 2003.

Karen’s focus on systems and procedures is invaluable in her work with small to medium sized businesses, as is her accounting and tax expertise. She also heads up our Self Managed Superannuation Fund team, holding a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Karen became a Fellow of the Institute of  Chartered Accountants in Australia in 2008, is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute, a Certified Practising Manager and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Through her in depth knowledge of training Karen joined the Chartered Accountants Women’s Committee at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2005 and became Chair of the Committee at the end of 2009. The Committee provides opportunities for networking and professional development for Women members and their business colleagues.

In the past, Karen has been Honorary Treasurer for the Golden Grove Kindergarten and was also involved in the Northern Districts chapter of the Leads Club, taking on various terms as Treasurer, Assistant Director and Director roles on the management committee.
